Today is the World Book Day, here in Germany. I think it is a great day and a great campaign to support reading. Unfortunately, reading is definitely not the main activity of our current and future generation/s. I think it’s really sad. I grew up with books and I always loved to read. It is a great way to escape reality for some time and I enjoy it, very much. If I do, one day, end up having kids, I will definitely make sure to make them love books. At least I will try. Read to them when they are little and buy them great products of fantasy when they are older. Reading promotes imagination and every child should have a healthy amount of it.
I have so many books, I sometimes don’t know which ones I have read and which ones I still have to read. Therefore, I marked them all with little stickers. And I have lists…of course I have lists. :D And I sniff books. There, I said it. I just looove the smell of new books and of old ones and of all of them. :) Furthermore, I dream of having my own library, one day. Like the one that the Beast gives to Belle – best tv-moment ever! I would have married him right away. A library is sooo sexy! I pretty much read everything except for thrillers and once, I read a good book, I can’t stop. It’s unbelievable that I once dated a guy that actually told me that he has never read a book in his life. What the hell was I thinking?! I think reading is sexy and the next time a guy says something like that, I will run!
