Have you ever found yourself in a place, where you knew immediately that this is where you want to spend the rest of your life? For me, this place is New York, one of the most famous cities in the world. Anyone who has ever been there knows that this city is unlike any other, and it is a fascinating experience in itself. The great variety of elements it combines have a great impact on visitors from all over the world. Even people who have not been there yet, are familiar with it because of the cities great popularity. It has been the set of many movies and TV shows. Especially shows like Sex and the City or Gossip Girl have portrayed the city from many different angles and have shown beautiful places, popular and less popular ones, the lifestyle and the fashion. What they all have in common is the fact that in New York, nothing can be generalized. Here, all people are different, no place seems similar to another and no matter which corner you turn, you always experience something new. It is famous for some of the most popular sights, for example, the Empire State Building, Central Park or the Statue of Liberty.

The first time I went there, I fell in love. I was amazed by everything I saw and I loved all of it. I know that many people have this dream of living in working in the City. This does not make it very easy to really make it. Nevertheless, I will definitely try. I’m still young, I’m currently working on graduating from university and then, I’m free to do and to be whatever I want. I will start with a year as an Au Pair, hopefully somewhere near New York and see where this may take me. A few days ago, I watched a show called Nightflight New York. It showed The City by night, underlined with great music and I just thought: I want to be there…NOW!

Anyway,I love New York so much and I think it is one of the greatest cities in the world. I will write about awesome places in the City, give some general information, and learn more about it for myself, as well. So far, I’ve been there three times and I saw so many things that amazed me. I took many pictures, tried to see as much as possible and read a lot more about it, afterward. There is just sooo much.
