and hello March. Could I be any more late with this post? I’m totally behind on everything, cause work is just crazy and I’m constantly out and about having fun, which I guess is a good thing. Yes, I’m still going strong on leaving the house, every weekend. But for once, I decided to put my work laptop away and power up my personal one to finally write a new post.
So February started on a rather sad note, cause we had to put our kitty to sleep. She would’ve turned 18 this year, so she really had a long and good life. But as hard as it is to say goodbye to an animal you’ve had for so long, it’s even harder to see them be sick and in agony. Now she’s in a better place without any pain and she’s reunited with her mother, brother and sister.
On a better note, I was out every weekend. And by that, I don’t mean partying. I mean getting dressed, actually leaving the house and doing things that make me happy. I’ve seen lots of my friends and with them went out for long chats at cafés, enjoyed a comedy show, had brunch and just enjoyed lots of fun talks and laughter. But I must say, I’m still not fully used to being out and about so much and it sure costs a lot of money. But it’s worth it.
It was also my birthday and usually, I make a huge deal out of it. I’m one of those people who go absolutely nuts and want to celebrate for weeks on end. But for some reason, I really wasn’t feeling it. Even though I had a week off and could’ve done anything, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I always put myself under so much pressure to do something special on this day, but I just couldn’t. I actually cried, was frustrated and couldn’t get over it. So I ended up sorting through all my boxes full of household stuff with my mom. I’m still planning on hopefully moving out this year, so I gotta know what I have and what I need. But no, this whole day wasn’t satisfying at all.
What I also did was actually go shopping. Twice. I don’t do that often, anymore. But damn, is there anything more disappointing than having money to spend but nothing pretty in any store? Seriously, what is wrong with fashion? I found everything absolutely terrible. So, I just ended up buying a bunch of other things that made me happy. Like Disney puzzles, pretty books, CD’s and a new little pink boombox, cause I’m oldschool like that. That thing brings me so much joy. I also bought more household things, which I’m doing a lot, lately. If I ever manage to move out, I will have pretty cool things.
And you know what else I did? My best friend and I finally booked our flights to Portugal. We’re going in April and I can’t even tell you how excited I am. I really need a fun vacation and we always have the best time together. And I need a break from everything, so our little trip will be perfect for this. I’m definitely counting down the days.
So now, I usually tell you what I’m looking forward to next month, but that doesn’t feel right, since March is almost over. So I’m just gonna continue to have a ball, getting myself out there and enjoying life. And I hope you’re all doing the same.
