I’ve been absolutely terrible with blogging and I honestly feel bad about it. I miss it a lot but just can’t motivate myself, most of the time. Ever since I started working like actual adults do, I simply fail at writing outside of work. I really need to figure this out and I thought, I’ll get back into the groove with answering some questions about myself.

I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award several times and they’ve been piling up for a while, so I thought I’ll start with answering questions from two very lovely ladies. Tina from Tea is for Tina nominated me ages ago and she probably thought I forgot, but I didn’t. Tina is a great blogger, a super nice person and her #LNBchat is the best. The other awesome person is Vivian aka VivWrites. Unfortunately, she doesn’t blog because I’m sure she’d be great at it, but she’s too busy writing successful books. But do make sure to catch her in a Twitter chat cause it’s always great fun. Thank you lovies for thinking of me. I highly appreciate it and yeah, I just love answering questions about myself.

01. I refuse to use the calendar on my phone.
02. It took me four turns to get my driver’s license, cause of my nerves.

11 Questions from Tina

01. How did you choose your blog name?
I’m not even sure. I started off with using “365 tries to make it right” but at some point I wanted something more fitting. “The Undateable Girl’s Diary” is definitely a little self-mockery because I’ve been single forever plus me and guys are just always pretty complicated. And since I write about my life, I thought the name was fitting. People are sweet to tell me that I’m not undateable though, but I’m pretty sure there is a little truth in it.

02. What is your biggest achievement this year so far?
I started my first real job and I’m really good at it. I doesn’t make me 100% happy, but it’s better than doing nothing and it’s a step in the right direction. And I get to meet lots of lovely people and write their stories, which is amazing.

03. Are you usually late, early or on time?
I tend to be more on the late side. Sometimes, I feel like I couldn’t be on time, even if my life depended on it. It’s actually not a great quality and I get so annoyed when I have to wait for others and yes, I know that it’s totally unfair. I’m pretty on time for work though.

04. Who would you call first if you won the lottery?
Maybe nobody and just immediately start travelling the world, before people start asking for money. But I guess I couldn’t keep it to myself, so I’d probably call my mom.

05. Do you have any phobias?
I used to have arachnophobia cause spiders are just absolutely disgusting, but it has gotten a lot better, in the last few years. I used to scream, cry, was unable to move and all that comes with. Not having my bed close to a wall works wonders.

06. Who is someone you admire, and why?
I definitely admire people who risk their lives for others or who work tirelessly to make other people have a better life. In general good-hearted people, who do a lot for others.

07. Are you a planner or spontaneous?
I really wish I was spontaneous, but I’m just not. Sure, on rare occasions I am but it doesn’t happen really often. I like to plan everything in advance with lists, calendars and all, so make sure to schedule an appointment with me, if you want to hang out.

08. What is the first thing you notice about people?
If they have a good sense of humor. I’m pretty much a loud-mouth and things just slip out. If you don’t get irony and sarcasm, we won’t get along very well.

09. Who would play you in a film about your life?
Hopefully someone like Jennifer Lawrence. She’s amazing. Beautiful, talented, down to earth and definitely outspoken and clumsy just like me. I couldn’t think of anyone better to play me.

10. Do you have any bad habits?
Oh please, who doesn’t?!  I’m just trying to figure out which ones to share with you. I tend to leave my water bottles standing around without the lid on and I often end up with a wet carpet. I grind my teeth in my sleep. I can be super messy. And I could share hundreds more with you, but I rather not.

11. Tea?
Yes, please. I can’t even stand the smell of coffee.

11 Questions from Viv

01. What book got you hooked on your favorite genre?
Not exactly sure what my favorite genre is. I love lots of different books and it’s hard to choose.

02. Best ice cream flavour?
Lemon – forever and always.

03. If you could do any profession, which one and why?
There is only one thing I want to do and that’s being a journalist. Gladly, it’s what I’m currently doing and I’m pretty sure it’s what I am best at. I’ve gone over so many other options of things I could do, but nothing makes me as happy as taking pictures, meeting people and telling their stories.

04. Favorite animal in the wild?
Dolphins, which I have actually seen in the wild, and monkeys. Chimpanzees are just the cutest.

05. What was your weirdest dream ever?
Unfortunately, I’m pretty bad at remembering dreams. Ever since I started my job, I constantly dream about work which definitely stresses me out a lot. I remember sleeping over at a friends’ house when we were teenagers and the next morning she told me that I was saying funny things like “I get so hot when I see him” but I still don’t know what that was about. I always tell myself that I should write down what I remember after waking up, but I never do.

06. Do you play an instrument, if so what?
I can play a little piano but I prefer using my voice as an instrument. That usually works a lot better.

07. Favorite type of holiday: city trip, beach, active?
I’m pretty much open to anything. I don’t know when was the last time I went on a beach holiday and I don’t even know if it’s my thing. I rarely even just lay in the sun because I get bored too easily, so just beach may not be enough for me. I prefer exploring new cities, do a lot of sightseeing and touristy things, roam the streets. So yeah, I guess city trips.

08. Ideal night in?
Those are my specialty and I definitely do them most of the time. I honestly don’t need much. Just my bed, pj’s, Netflix and maybe some chips or microwave popcorn.

09. Most cherished collectors item?
I honestly don’t know if I actually have something that fits this category. I have a big Disney Princesses snow globe figurine that my mom bought me at Disneyland that is pretty special to me. I can’t really think of anything else right now.

10. Best character trait
I’m definitely a very caring person who always helps others and I do a lot for the people I care about. I’m also very honest. Not everyone can handle it, but being fake is just not my thing. And I definitely have a good sense of humor

11. Ultimate life goal?
I would still love to have a book published, get a Ph.D and travel the whole world. Sounds easy, right?!
